An obelisk? Is this more than just a monument?
Yes, absolutely!
We designate by "obelisk" a monumental column sculpted from a single block of stone (a monolith), of square, hexagonal or octagonal section and topped at its top with a point called a pyramidion.
Its very linguistic root alludes to this form. Indeed, the term obelisk is derived from a Greek word meaning “needle”.
Historically, obelisks were often placed in pairs at the entrances to temples, shrines and some tombs in Egypt thousands of years ago.
The most famous are simply gigantic and weigh up to 250 tons. Erected at a time when means were much more archaic than now, the construction of these obelisks was synonymous with impressive technical feats for which scientists cannot find an explanation.
In terms of their meaning, Egyptologists often say that these monuments paid homage to Atum, the god of the Sun. The obelisks therefore symbolized the stability and creative force specific to this powerful divinity.
For other people, using obelisks was much more "practical". Fans of witchcraft and esotericism in particular often say that their shapes make them “ energetic communication doors ”, a kind of bridge that allows us to work with mysterious forces that were then inaccessible.
Thus, combining the power of the obelisk with the powers of certain types of stones and crystals can turn out to be a simply excellent idea for anyone who would like to work with this type of energy.
However, we must warn: this type of thing should not be taken lightly, and your obelisk should not fall into the wrong hands.
