Closer to home, we can talk about the Greco-Roman civilizations which, as we know, often referred to auspices. These priests were responsible for interpreting the flight of birds, then considered messages sent by the gods. This practice lasted almost a millennium.
More or less at the same time, the Chinese developed clairvoyance and divination techniques based on the precepts of Taoism. By observing the way turtle shells broke when placed in the flames, or the symbols drawn by a handful of twigs thrown into the sand, the seers of China had their own ways of reading the future.
We could cite dozens and dozens of other methods of divination, all over the world. What is important to understand here through clairvoyance is that the desire to know what destiny has in store for us is intrinsically linked to human nature.
