What meaning does the Brazilian flag mean?
The Brazilian flag is one of the most important symbols of the culture of this beautiful country.
The green, clearly present above, symbolizes the lush nature of Brazil's forests, but also its fields and pastures, sources of subsistence for many of its inhabitants.
The yellow diamond that you can also see there represents the country's mineral wealth.
It is clear: Brazil is a country of immense wealth which, if properly exploited, can be the assurance of happy days.
The slogan on the flag, “ Ordem e Progresso ” (order and progress), was once a strong democratic and emancipatory slogan in Latin America used by anti-monarchist revolutionaries.
Another major element of the Brazilian flag, the blue globe represents (as you might imagine) the terrestrial globe.
The hidden message behind it is that of openness to the world, Brazil being a multi-ethnic nation made up of cultures from all continents.
Another interpretation is to see this globe as a nod to the Portuguese navigators who, by discovering South America, placed the first stones of Brazilian culture.
This way of thinking is particularly interesting when we know that the stars we can see on the flag correspond exactly to those we could see shining above Rio de Janeiro on November 15, 1889, the official date of the founding of the Republic of Brazil.
From there to seeing a mark of respect towards astrology, an ancient and maligned esoteric art, there is only one step.
