What will this kind of signet ring bring me? lucky charm ?
The symbol you see here, the two riders on a horse, is arguably the image most associated with the Knights Templar of the Middle Ages. In fact, it even served as a seal for the grand masters of the order for several years.
As with everything related to the Templars, it is complicated to precisely determine its meaning, as there are so many mysteries and secrets surrounding the order.
So there's no definitive answer to this question... although a few theories we've found for you may be more interesting than the rest.
You should know that the knights who formerly joined this brotherhood of arms had to take their vows of poverty. (Even though the order was very rich, the individuals were poor.)
Thus, perhaps this signet ring from the seal of the Templars presents us with two men “forced” to share a horse by desire for stripping.
Some historians rather assert that this Christian yet very warlike symbol alludes to a medieval combat technique where one knight guided the animal, while the other struck the enemies.
This theory becomes interesting when we see through it a representation of the nature of the Templars: they were both monks and therefore guided souls, while remaining warriors.
The seal itself is surrounded by the inscriptions " Sigilum Militum Xpisti " which, in French, translates to " The seal of the soldiers of Christ ". This motto is unequivocal…
In the end, it is clear that this signet ring lucky charm is surrounded by a particular mysticism, undoubtedly a little lost, and which arouses curiosity.
