The Valknut is one of the most intriguing symbols that the Norse people left behind. Its name comes from the Nordic roots “valr”, which means slain warrior, and “knut”, which can be translated as knot.
In fact, the Valknut is the “knot of the slain warrior”, or “ knot of slaughter ”. Yes, the word of Viking origin often has a clear and easy to understand meaning.
