And so, who is this famous Bhaishajyaguru?

If you are interested in the traditions of North India, you may have already come across Bhaishajyaguru.

Also known as the "Medicine Buddha", "Blue Buddha" or "Lapis Lazuli Buddha", he is a half-legendary, half-historical character who, upon reaching nirvana, would have transformed into a Buddha from which a radiant blue light emanated.

Known for a number of impressive things (which we will not talk about here), this character is said to have revealed great secrets about medicine and the healing of the body to the people who were dazedly watching the scene of his spiritual awakening.

Imagine the feeling that must have been felt by those who, seeing a surreal blue light emanating from a man, also began to hear great lessons revealed to them, a voice from who knows where resonating in their hearts.

We therefore easily understand how this being was able to make such an impact...

In traditional Tibetan flags (called thangkas in the local language), he is often depicted surrounded by various herbs and medicines, halos of healing energy radiating from his head and body.

For some, this is just a simple allegory of a popular legend. For others on the other hand (of which, to be honest, we are one), all these symbols carry real power within them.

When we look closely at this flag of Bhaishajyaguru, we can also see sacred mantras there from Tibetan Buddhism. It is obvious that they were placed there on purpose: the aim is to further increase the properties of this flag, already powerful in itself.

The goal will therefore be to hang a flag in a living room (or at least near one of them) in order to help everyone who approaches it to feel better.
