What does this famous Jewish lucky charm represent?

The Star of David is an ancient Jewish symbol consisting of two interlocking triangles, all forming a six-pointed star.

Some believe that this symbol comes from the Torah, but this is not entirely true.

In fact, the appearance of the Star of David is a mystery that even theologians struggle to elucidate.

Apparently, this symbol would have been used by the Jewish elite of Central Europe from the Middle Ages to mark their difference from the rest of the population. The Star of David was thus found painted on books, engraved in the walls of synagogues, etc.

However, this phenomenon did not take on real importance until a few centuries later.

It was in reality following the famous Dreyfus affair that this lucky charm experienced real development, to the point where the Zionist movement ended its official emblem at the end of the 19th century.

We've told you that the mysteries of the Star of David are complex, and that's true, but there are some food for thought.

For example, some Jewish mystics (notably Kabbalists) see this star as a representation of the symbol that once decorated the shield of King David, the first king of the Jewish people.

Known in this case under the name “Magen David”, this lucky charm should then benefit from great magical powers…

Whether this is true or not, the fact is that this Star of David signet ring remains marked in the history of the Jewish people.

Wearing it therefore means identifying with this great community.
