How does a Shiatsu session work?

Shiatsu is an energetic massage technique which aims to restore balance and the harmonious circulation of vital energy in the body. A session begins with an interview with the practitioner to assess the patient's specific needs. Then, he is invited to lie down on a futon or a table designed for this type of massage.

The practitioner then uses his hands (sometimes also his elbows or knees) to exert more or less intense pressure on different specific points of the body depending on your specific needs. Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes during which you can feel various sensations such as diffuse heat or tingling when the energy circulates freely. It is recommended after each session to drink plenty of water to help flush out the toxins released during the shiatsu massage.
