Okay... but what exactly is astrology?
The way our ancestors viewed astrology has nothing, nothing to do with what we think about it today. If they saw the ridiculous horoscopes that are at the end of almost all our newspapers, they would probably giggle... and rightly so!
The first traces of large-scale astrology were found in Arabia as early as the 10th century. There, astronomers had already been interested in the sky for a long time and had mapped the constellations in large scientific collections. Although this art is undoubtedly as old as humanity (men have always found themselves using the stars), it is here that modern astrology begins.
It was in the 12th century that these grimoires were translated into Latin. There, it was a shock for all of Europe: ancestral knowledge that had been passed down for centuries had been put on paper miles away!
In the Middle Ages in Europe, astrology was therefore from the beginning considered a very serious art, and certain practitioners were respected in the same way as sorcerers or scientists.
Based on the constellations in the sky and our precise date of birth, astrologers can guess an incredible amount of information about us and the events that are likely to happen to us.
