And so ? What are the powers of the Eye of Horus and this ring?
The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection and health long used, notably by the royal power of the time.
In ancient Egypt, it was considered linked to magical powers which, one day, brought the god Osiris back to life. This idea comes to us from one of the founding myths of Egyptian culture from which many occult and esoteric practices were created.
Because of its link with life, and more particularly life after death, the eye of Horus was often engraved in the walls of tombs or painted on funerary urns. Some Egyptologists claim that this powerful symbol had the function of “protecting the deceased in the afterlife and keeping away the forces of evil”.
Rings engraved with the Eye of Horus such as these were also used as good luck charms by the living. Sailors in particular liked to have one on their finger before setting out to sea. (Since ships of the time were rudimentary, shipwrecks were common.)
It therefore appears that it is long lines of generations from Antiquity to the present day who have attributed powerful magical powers to the eye of Horus.
Healing, protection, peaceful journey to the afterlife, development of psychic abilities: there is no shortage of reasons to be interested in this lucky charm!
And you, what will yours be?
