Malachite? Why is this stone so interesting?
Malachite is a stone known for its striking green color slightly cracked with darker hues. This mineral is found naturally in underground caves in the form of stalactites.
Its very name evokes some of its properties. In ancient Greek, “ malakos ” literally means “sweet” or “sweetness.” Although it remains a stone associated with strength and stability, malachite is also linked to a softness of heart, openness and a certain benevolence.
In fact, the history of malachite is not limited to ancient Greece: it is global. From the mines of the ancient Egyptians to northern Russia, via the Congo basin and ancient China... Everyone recognized the great virtues of our stone.
Most primordial traditions also saw it as a crystallization (that's true!) of telluric energies, a stone capable of bringing us all the benefits of the Earth. Malachite is therefore a stone of anchoring and stability.
The other major area of action of malachite is in the work of energies. Able to capture bad energies and mental pollutants, it purifies the spaces where it is found. This remains to be demonstrated, but some even speak of direct electromagnetic actions which would reduce the impact of certain waves...
