The fleur-de-lys is a centuries-old French lucky symbol that represents the country's monarchy.
According to some historians , the fleur-de-lys first appeared at the top of the scepters of Frankish kings, originating from regions where lilies sometimes grew in exceptional quantities (notably the area around the Flemish river soberly named the "Lily" ).
