The rose is the national flower of England. Its link with the land of Albion is ancient, but it was during the 15th century that its use exploded.
This historical period actually saw the clash of two great families for the crown of England. On the one hand, the Lancasters fought under banners decorated with red roses. On the other hand, the House of York used a white rose as its emblem.
