What is the place of the dwarf in German culture?

A dwarf is a legendary creature from tales that have been told in Europe for generations. In particular, these strange little men come from Germanic peoples.

No one really knows what the word “dwarf” originally meant or what root it came from. Even though we often represent them as beings of small size, the original legends did not specifically mention this characteristic.

If there is one thing that, from the beginning, defined the dwarves, it was their angry and fighting temperament.

They live deep underground, in mines and in the heart of our mountains. Their main occupation is to collect gold and precious stones, which they then amass into treasures which they guard jealously.

It is precisely to defend their riches that the dwarves have trained to become terrible fighters. On the battlefield, a dwarven warrior is a valuable ally who is generally proud to be counted on.

In reality, the figure of the dwarf constitutes an important part of folklore in Germany. A whole bunch of stories tell us about them, sometimes as proud and powerful warriors, sometimes as goldsmiths and artisans of great talent.

This signet ring chooses to show its most aggressive form, the most combative and undoubtedly the most frightening for its enemies.

If you feel like an ancient dwarf warrior, this German lucky charm is definitely for you!
