Actually, what are these “fu dogs”?

If you've ever eaten at a Chinese restaurant, chances are you've seen these strange Chinese statues.

With their dog shape, we could say that they guard the place where they are. .. and that is exactly their role!

The name in Chinese literally means "guardian lion". In French, we talk about fu dogs. The term "fu" apparently comes from the Chinese word "Fó" which directly refers to the Buddha and the prosperity that followed him wherever he went.

No matter what you ultimately call them, the fact is that these Chinese lucky charms are very popular even today, and many people choose to place their homes or businesses under their protection.

Many Chinese use them by tradition. Other people in the world have become interested in it through the art of Feng Shui (the fu dog occupies a beautiful place there). Whatever the case, everyone recognizes his certain powers.

If we present to you two fu dogs today, it is for good reason: their abilities turn out to be very real.

You should also know that these dogs are always found in pairs, a male and a female.

The female represents the yin side of the universe and ensures that everyone in the building she protects is taken care of.

The male is associated with yang and will fiercely protect us from negative entities and energies that would like to pass through the door he guards.

So, when they work together, a pair of fu dog statuettes provide us with great protection, a necessary (but unfortunately not sufficient) condition for happiness and prosperity.
